Best File to Upload (by Where You Made It)
Same rule every time: send us the file closest to the original, at the largest size you've got.
| Where your design was made | Best file to upload | Please avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Canva | PDF Print | Screenshots, phone photos, small JPGs |
| ChatGPT / AI tools | Original full-size PNG or JPG | Screenshots, small images blown up later |
| Adobe Illustrator / InDesign | Print-ready PDF, AI, or EPS | Flattened low-res JPG |
| Photoshop | High-res PDF, TIFF, or PNG | Web-size JPG |
| Phone or social media | Original full-size image | Anything saved off Facebook, Instagram, or a text |
| Business logo | Vector PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG | Tiny logo copied off a website |
Got your file ready?
Upload Print-Ready ArtMade It in Canva?
One simple move gets you the best print quality: download it as a PDF Print file.
In Canva: Share → Download → File type: PDF Print → check Crop marks and bleed if your design runs to the edge → Download.
For invitations, business cards, flyers, postcards, programs, signs, and most printed pieces, PDF Print is the right call. It keeps your text and graphics crisp instead of soft.
Please skip the Canva screenshot. It can look perfect on your phone and still print fuzzy — screens hide a lot of sins that a printing press does not.
Printing Artwork from ChatGPT or AI?
AI tools are fantastic for ideas and concepts — but not every image they spit out is automatically print-ready. Small on screen is fine. Stretched onto a 24x36 poster? That's where things get crunchy. Here's how to set yourself up for a clean print:
- Download the original image — not a screenshot. Screenshots are usually too small and print blurry or pixelated.
- Ask for the largest size possible. Tell the AI the exact final size you want to print before it generates anything.
- Avoid tiny text inside the image. Small words and thin lines look fine on your phone and go fuzzy at scale.
- Don't enlarge a small image yourself. Blowing it up doesn't add detail — it just makes the blur bigger.
- Upload the highest-quality version the tool gives you.
Heads up: AI artwork can misspell words, distort logos, and invent odd little details that look fine at a glance. Please zoom in and double-check names, dates, phone numbers, addresses, and any small text before you upload — especially on invitations and anything you're ordering in bulk.
Will My File Print Clearly?
A quick gut-check on what each size really needs. When in doubt, send the biggest file you have and we'll take it from there.
| Final print size | What you'll want |
|---|---|
| Business cards / invitations | Sharp PDF Print preferred |
| Flyers / postcards | PDF Print or high-resolution image |
| 11x17 prints | High-resolution PDF or image |
| 18x24 posters | Large, high-resolution file strongly recommended |
| Banners / yard signs | Original artwork file — screenshots usually won't cut it |
| Large wall graphics | Not sure? Send it over and we'll check before you commit |
We Review Before We Print
After you place your order, we send a proof when needed and you approve it before production. If we spot an obvious file issue — low resolution, missing bleed, or a rough enlargement — we'll reach out first whenever possible. Your finished piece looking great is the whole point.

Upload & Printing FAQ
Can I print a design I made in Canva?
Yes. Download it as a "PDF Print" file (Share, then Download, then PDF Print) and upload that. It keeps your text and graphics crisp in a way a screenshot or small JPG simply can't.
Can I upload a ChatGPT or AI image for printing?
Yes, but download the original full-size image, not a screenshot. For posters, banners, or signs, tell the AI your final print size up front and ask for the highest resolution it can produce.
Why does my AI image look blurry when printed large?
AI images are often built at screen size. Blowing a small file up to poster size doesn't add real detail — it just makes the existing pixels bigger and softer. Start with the largest source file you can.
Is a screenshot good enough to print?
Almost never. Screenshots capture your screen's low resolution, so they tend to print fuzzy or pixelated. Upload the original exported file instead.
What does "print-ready" mean?
A print-ready file is high resolution at its final size, uses the right color setup, and includes a little bleed if your design runs to the edge. A PDF Print or vector file usually checks all three boxes.
Will you check my file before you print it?
Yes. We review your upload and send a proof when needed. If we spot a quality issue like low resolution or missing bleed, we'll reach out before anything goes to production whenever possible.
