ChatGPT Holiday Cards
Quick answer: Design your holiday card art in ChatGPT — 5×7 proportions, maximum resolution, no words in the image — download the original PNG, and upload it to our 5×7 card product from $1.16 per card. We typeset your greeting and family name cleanly (AI still misspells), proof it with you, and print it on real cardstock. A one-of-a-kind card for less than the photo sites charge for a template.
Here's the holiday card nobody else on your block will have: the one you generated. Your house painted in watercolor with snow coming down. The family pet in a Santa hat, oil-painting style. A vintage-travel-poster version of your hometown with a holiday sky. ChatGPT makes this stuff in thirty seconds — and printed on heavy cardstock with your greeting set in real type, it stops looking like a phone trick and starts looking like the best card in the stack on somebody's fridge.
How do you prompt a card that actually prints well?
- Give it card proportions. Say "vertical 5 by 7 portrait proportions" (or horizontal if you want a landscape card) so nothing important gets cropped at print time.
- Ask for maximum resolution. A 5×7 card wants roughly 1,500 × 2,100 pixels minimum — small for AI, which is why cards are the easiest AI print there is. Ask big anyway; margin never hurts.
- Leave room for words — but don't let AI write them. Prompt "leave open space at the bottom for a greeting" and then we typeset "Merry Christmas from the Robisons" in a real font, spelled correctly. AI lettering is still the #1 card-ruiner.
- Download the original PNG with the download button. A screenshot prints soft; the original prints sharp.
- Zoom in before you upload. Check windows, hands, ornaments — AI sneaks oddities into corners, and a card gets held at reading distance.

What does it cost to print?
Upload your finished art to our 5×7 upload card product and printing starts at $1.16 per card — a hundred cards for about what two streaming services cost a month, each one art nobody can buy anywhere. Rather start from a finished design and skip the prompting? The 2026 holiday card collection has 218 ready-made designs from $29.99, photo cards included.
How does the order work?
Upload the PNG on the product page, tell us the greeting text and how you want it set, and we do the rest: a real person checks the file, typesets your words, and sends a proof. You approve, we print, you spend December being told you "got so creative this year." If the file needs help — a light upscale, a crop fix — that's what we're here for; see everything else you can print AI art on at our Print Your AI Art page, and the full file rulebook in our ChatGPT print-ready guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print a holiday card I made in ChatGPT?
Yes. Generate the art at 5x7 proportions, download the original PNG, and upload it to our 5x7 card product from $1.16 per card. Every order is checked and proofed before printing.
What size should AI holiday card art be?
About 1,500 by 2,100 pixels or larger for a sharp 5x7 card. Ask ChatGPT for maximum resolution and vertical 5 by 7 proportions so nothing crops.
Should ChatGPT write the greeting on the card?
No. AI image tools still misspell and distort lettering. Generate the art with open space and have the greeting typeset cleanly — that's included in our proofing process.
How much do AI-designed holiday cards cost?
Printing your uploaded design starts at $1.16 per 5x7 card. Ready-made designs from the holiday collection start at $29.99 if you'd rather skip the prompting.
Can I put our family photo into an AI holiday card?
Yes — upload a photo to ChatGPT and ask for it in a painted or illustrated style, or choose a photo card layout from the collection and we place your photos directly.
When should I order AI holiday cards?
By mid-November for relaxed mid-December mailing. Production runs about 7 to 10 business days after you approve the proof.
